The Gunman could also be called
‘the star-studded one’ as its cast consists of Sean Penn, Idris Elba, Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone and soon-to-be BFG Mark Rylance. Penn
plays a military man whose participation in an illegal operation in the Congo
forces him on the run.

If you like your gangster films
dark, grubby and British, Hyena might well be the movie for you. Peter
Ferdinando delivers a grandstanding performance as Michael Logan, a corrupt cop
whose dirty dealings with a group of ruthless Albanian gangsters sends his life
spiralling out of control. Writer-director Gerard Johnson maintains a
stomach-churning sense of suspense throughout, Stephen Graham and Neil Maskell lend intense support,
and the score – by The The – is immense.
