You Should See These Best Movies For March 2015

Sentient robots and invading overlords rub shoulders with bent coppers and globe-trotting military men in our list of the biggest and best movies hitting UK screens in March and elsewhere in the not-too-distant future.

The Big One: Chappie
Release Date: UK & US March 6, AU March 12

The British One: Robot Overlords
Gillian Anderson and Ben Kingsley star as adults on either side of the conflict.
Release Date: UK March 27, US & AU TBA

The Action-Packed One: The Gunman
The Gunman could also be called ‘the star-studded one’ as its cast consists of Sean Penn, Idris Elba, Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone and soon-to-be BFG Mark Rylance. Penn plays a military man whose participation in an illegal operation in the Congo forces him on the run.

Release Date: UK & US March 20, AU March 19

If you like your gangster films dark, grubby and British, Hyena might well be the movie for you. Peter Ferdinando delivers a grandstanding performance as Michael Logan, a corrupt cop whose dirty dealings with a group of ruthless Albanian gangsters sends his life spiralling out of control. Writer-director Gerard Johnson maintains a stomach-churning sense of suspense throughout, Stephen Graham and Neil Maskell lend intense support, and the score – by The The – is immense.
Release Date: UK March 6, US May 1, AU TBA

The Rude One: Unfinished Business
Vince Vaughn, as ever, plays Vince Vaughn, and on this occasion he’s heading to Europe to close the biggest deal of his career.

Release Date: UK & US March 6, AU March 5
